Desulphurization Gypsum VS Natural Gypsum
2021-10-13
There are great differences in performance and application between desulfurized gypsum and natural gypsum.
Due to different generation ways, there are differences in particle morphology, particle size distribution, color difference, impurity type, moisture content and so on.
Particle Morphology
Desulfurized gypsum, the particles are short laurel shaped, and the crystals contact each other to form a dense structural network, which can promote the development of strength;
Natural gypsum, mostly needle and flake crystals, has loose structure, few crystal contact points and low strength.
Particle Size Distribution
The particle size of desulfurized gypsum is mostly 40um ~ 60um, which is finer than that of natural gypsum, with poor rheology and obvious stratification.
Color Difference
Natural gypsum, mostly white or transparent; The whiteness of desulfurized gypsum decreases and is mostly gray.
Moisture Content
The moisture content of desulfurized gypsum is higher than that of natural gypsum, generally about 10%, with high viscosity.
